How Do You Select the Perfect Selkie Bathroom Panels?

Choosing the right Selkie panels depends on your style preference, bathroom size, and the overall design you want to achieve. Selkie offers two main categories: Ancona panels, which provide a solid, durable acrylic option with a smooth, easy-to-clean surface, and Selkie Shower Panels, crafted from a robust aluminium-plastic composite for long-lasting waterproof protection.

Both panel types are designed for quick installation over existing surfaces, reducing renovation time while eliminating the need for traditional tiling. Fully waterproof, resistant to moisture and wear, and featuring a protective finish, these panels maintain their appearance over time with minimal maintenance. Pairing the panels with matching trims and accessories ensures a seamless, professional finish, creating a stylish and watertight bathroom or shower space that lasts.

Yes, for larger cuts use a rip saw/circular saw, for smaller cuts, you can use a jig saw or hand saw. When using a jig-saw (with upward cutting jig-saw blade), panels should be cut from the back, decorative face down to prevent chipping of the laminate surface. When using a standard hand saw - decorative face should be UP. For the best results - where possible apply masking tape along the line of cut.
All panels must be stored flat and in a dry area. Storing panels on their side can cause bowing and water ingress can damage the panels.
